Fatima Noushi Urroz is a longtime artist from Colorado, where beautiful natural landscapes have forever been the inspiration for her work. She studied art at Naropa University in Boulder and has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Her work has also been featured in several printed publications. Fatima illustrates nature’s elegance through the ethereal lens of whimsical expressionism, creating pieces that not only to echo the lines and forms of our environment, but also to capture the emotional and the mysterious within our own deeper connection with nature. Her landscape paintings oscillate between the real and the abstract, drawing on the audience to reflect on their own interpretation of the work. As characterized by her nature-centric artwork, Fatima is passionate about the preservation of the environment for the benefit of humanity and all living things. Fatima works in many mediums, including mixed media,  oil, illustration and graphic design. She continues to paint daily in her garage art studio and is currently working on several books: An Artist's Book of History and The Art & Science of Botanical Illustration.
